Meet Onika Day: A Force of Creativity, Authenticity, & Pure Entertainment - Welcome To The Lime!

Growing up in the vibrant energy of Berkeley, California, Onika was surrounded by a kaleidoscope of characters and cultures. With a mother who was an intuitive, certified hypnotherapist, activist, artist model, and go-go dancer, and a father who was a celebrated Bay Area photographer and the former Chairman and Professor of the Art Department at San Francisco City College, creativity was practically baked into her DNA. Onika thrived in this diverse world, absorbing the stories and experiences that would later fuel her passion for storytelling and performance.

Onika’s talents shine in recurring roles on Blood Bloods and City on a Hill, and in supporting roles in Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Orange Is the New Black, Sisters (starring Tiny Fey and Amy Poehlar), Do No Harm, Dexter, Damages, Law & Order, Political Animals, and Carlito’s Way: The Beginning. Highlights also include the independent feature The Challenger and an unforgettable appearance in the legendary Tupac Shakur’s final music video, To Live and Die in L.A.

Whether behind the camera or in front of it, Onika brings an authenticity and boldness that captures audiences. She’s a storyteller, a trailblazer, and an artist who lights up every room she steps into.
